It's been a very long, hard, and exciting road to get to this moment. I just want to thank each and every one of you for making this dream possible. The Han Cluster Sci-Fi RPG crowdfunding is a huge success, and I have trouble finding the words to express what this means to me. But this is more than a passion project, it's a product I think lots of people will love and that I hope will speak to people on multiple levels in the years to come.  Now, let's get down to some details about what to expect as we move into the production and fulfillment phase!

First, BackerKit needs to transfer over the funds to us so we have the money to make the rewards (this can take up to two to three weeks).

Second, we need to collect your details so that we know how and where to deliver your rewards. We’ll send out a BackerKit survey to collect this information.

We’ll give you a heads-up before we send the survey so that you can watch for it. You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to answer your survey. The invitation email contains a unique link to your personal survey. It is important to submit your responses as quickly as you can since we need this information to process your rewards.     

If you need to change your survey responses, purchase add-on items, or update your shipping information, you can click the link in your survey email again or request your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page. (This page will only start working after we send the surveys out.)

Answering your survey helps us get your rewards out to you faster. BackerKit helps us save lots of time by streamlining the survey process, automating data organization, and providing us with pledge management software to make it easy to process your pledge reward shipments.

If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your crowdfunding account, the BackerKit survey link is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please contact us at [email protected].

We'll be rolling out digital rewards as we finalize them. We will be fulfilling digital rewards through both Backerkit itself and DrivethruRPG.

Timeline: The Han Cluster Sourcebook PDF, the Archetype cards PDF, and the set of 21 campaign cards PDF, will be ready to send out as soon as the funds and final backer list is delivered. We'll have a two week feedback period (more details to come when we release the PDFs). Then we'll send out the Transcendence Adventure Book, the maps, and figure flats after that for another period of feedback. The digital unlocked stretch goals will come within a couple weeks after that.

Physical rewards won't be available for several months (we anticipate January of 2026 at this point). As a reminder we will not be collecting shipping charges from you until we are much closer to the ship date at the end of the year. Don't worry, we'll keep you updated in advance of any credit card charges as we move forward.

We will be opening a pre-order store very soon for those who missed the campaign. Keep an eye out, and tell your friends if they're interested!

For now, Boof and I deserve a bit of a rest as we wait for BackerKit to do its part, but we can't WAIT to get the your rewards into your hands and hear your gaming stories at the table!

NEW ADD-ON: After some requests, we've added a new add-on, only available to those who pledge at the "All In (Print+Digital)" pledge level.  It's ANOTHER "All In! (Print+Digital)" Add-On!  This allows you to get multiple copies of everything (for friends or groups who want to go in together). The physical items of this add-on will all be shipped to the same address as your main pledge, but we will work with you on sending the digital files to a separate email address if you wish. Add this add-on and we'll be in touch after the campaign is over so you can let us know the Drive Thru RPG account email to send it to! This can be a great way to get in with friends and split some of the shipping costs, or if you want to give the gift of the Han Cluster to someone else! Even better, as part of the campaign, this add-on will include ALL physical and digital stretch goals! This deal won't be available in the pre-order store. It's only a part of the campaign!

We're into our final week of the campaign and we just past the $17,000 mark! Thank you for all your excitement and support.  

With this milestone we unlocked our digital Edge cards stretch goal!

Next up we have a very exciting one! Thank to your amazing support, we commissioned a new battle map from map guru Jason Juta! This is a Shok Barge and is straight out of the Plot Point Campaign. Without giving away too many spoilers, your crew may just travel to the ultra-dangerous planet Shok (where most of human space's hyperdrive fuel is produced) and deal with a precarious situation there. This map may or may not play a role in your adventures there!  If unlocked, we'll be PRINTING this beautiful map on the opposite side of the Han Cluster area poster map. It's 30" x 24" and will be laminated just like our other maps. This can be unlocked for the All In! (Digital) and All In! (Print + Digital) pledge tiers. Best of all, it will also be added to the Han Cluster Area Map Add-On for no extra charge during the campaign!

MORE TO COME: We have at least one more physical stretch goal planned, plus we're getting very close to me creating some original music for the setting!  We hope to unlock them all as we push through our final days!

Hello, everyone!

Boof and I have been watching world events carefully these last several weeks, and we thought it was high time we gave our backers a bit of reassurance. Here's the short version: Han Cluster is happening. We are still charging full-steam ahead and plan to see this commitment through. There will be no extra charges to you for fulfillment of rewards except what we need to collect for shipping and sales taxes / VAT, as applicable. For those of you who want to read the long version, read on!

I've been planning and strategizing how bring the Han Cluster to market for several years. This has not been a whim project, or something I haven't thoroughly thought through. It's been a significant investment of creativity, time, and financial resources to bring it to life in the way I truly feel like it deserves. Boof and I have taken this very seriously every step of the way and we, along with many others who played it or contributed to its development, believe strongly in the game. We have contingencies, both in the form of cash reserves, in a potential change of printers to one outside of China (if necessary), and in ways to manage the risk of what's to come in order to ensure we can finish what we started. While no one can possibly predict what will happen with the world trade market in the coming days, let alone in the 8+ months it will take before our product ships from the printer, we are experienced enough to know that panicking is not the right move. Even in the face of extreme adversity, I remain optimistic.  That's crazily on-brand, right?!  But I have reasons why.

In short, we are prepared for this. Though we may take a big hit to our initial earnings in the short term, we are keenly aware of the fragility of this moment. I dearly want Han Cluster to have a future.  I want this to be a beginning for the setting not an ending. Both of us believe strongly that having physical books is an essential part of that future, and if it means dipping into our reserves getting the initial print run to happen, we are prepared to do it. This will not impact you as a backer of the campaign from a financial standpoint. It may slow things down a little bit as we check the temperature of the market and move a little bit more deliberately through making final decisions on printing and delivery, but we are confident we have the resources and support necessary to handle any foreseen and unforeseen problems.

Whatever happens, we promise to keep you apprised of what's going on and how we're moving forward. The alternative is to risk the diminishment of Han Cluster into something much less.  Or worse, outright losing its momentum altogether and seeing everything I've been working toward for the last ten years just disappear into obscurity. The prospect of that is truly heartbreaking. I honestly think the setting deserves the best chance I can give it. It deserves to be seen in full color, glorious print on people's shelves, and more than that, I believe its themes of optimism and human connection are something today's world badly needs. Boof and I are determined to make this happen, and we have planned accordingly, with a lot of smart people in our corner to help us navigate these challenges.

That's all we wanted to say. Going forward from here, we'll start making the big push toward the end of the campaign, and we hope you'll join us in getting the word out as the unique excitement of this true "kickstarter" moves into its final days!
